His cloak unraveled itself from it's precious cargo as he laid the three boys next to the others, another boy and a hirl who looked related. A slight breeze picked up lifting her scent intimately to his nostrils. Almost slightly stumbling from the heady surprise Vincent recovered quickly. Turning to Zhu he quietly whispered as to not wake the children.
"May I join you or will you be taking rest? I wish to know you."
Blunt yet polite. Vincent held out his leather covered hand for hers bowing slightly. He felt odd. Unexplainable to his senses. Or in a form of denial. Vincent prefers unexplainable. An strange heat rose to his cheeks that he dare not recognize.

She stood there and once more listened and heard him ask to learn more about her. It was an odd request and the fact that it was being asked of her was even odder. No one had ever asked to learn more about her. But here he stood, bowing to her and holding a hand out for he and he had given her some sort of package to. It would be rude to not repay the favor.
So, she stepped forward and placed her hand in his gloved hand and smiled sweetly at him, "You may join me, Vincent." As she said that, she pulled the ornate package out and pulled away, starting to walk away as she unwrapped it to reveal the combs. They were elegant with lavender purples and deep purples, streaks of gold ivy all over the combs with mother of pearl that shimmered with the colors of a gentle rainbow. They were beautiful but- what were they? How were they used? She turned and walked back over to him and looked at him,
"Excuse me, Vincent; You gave these to me but... what are they?"

Vincent chuckled softly. A gentle laugh. Holding his hand out again. He spoke softly as his laughter calmed.
"Let me show you. They don't hurt. They are hair ornamentation."
He took one of them from her calmly and placed it in her luxurious strands, placing some of the hair just out of the way of her face.
"They remind me of your eyes."
Vincent whispered unaware of his intimate tone as readjusted the comb perfectly.

Now that he explained what they were, she felt silly to have asked what they were. Ashamed that she had asked and couldn't have figured out for herself, she stood still as he took one of the two and arranged it into her hair, pulling her long bangs from her face to do so. And the comment he quietly left behind in the wake of his actions as he expertly laced the comb.
It was a kind gesture and it was... sweet. She couldn't remember nor place the last time she was treated like this. It felt like it had been so long but it could have been only a year or so. Perhaps more. Her preoccupied mind disregarded time. She didn't dislike his presence as much as she thought she would either.
His manners and tone were tranquil and calm, and his personality reflected it as well. It was almost 'boring' but she found comfort in the slow, easy-going pace of it all. She was so used to the uppity pace of another man and his composed and military state. It had been suffocating and rigorous. But Vincent was the opposite. And she turned away from him when he was done and started heading back to the cave with a gentle smile on her face. "Let's go, Vincent."

Vincent quietly followed Zhu. He took in her form and the way she moved, how the fabrics upon her lithe form moved. It was mesmerizing. He could watch her for hours. She was not pretentious or ridiculous like most females he met and not at all annoying. But most of all. She didn't seem to care about science. Didn't care that he was a bit odd if not disgusting. The shadows were his home.
Vincent caught up to her in good time falling in step with her. He did not motion for her hand because she was clearly capable to navigate where she chose.
"I'm happy you enjoy the combs. Zhu, may I ask your species? I've never met your kind yet I seem to have memories of that language you uttered in the cave."
Vincent's voice maintained it's tranquiltone with an influx of curiosity.

He quiet and thoughtful, traits that she admired quite a lot even if she didn't speak up and sayso. It was quite the change of pace but it was a welcomed change and she continued walking with him back towards the cave; pausing a moment to pull the fur over her head to keep her from the sun's harsh rays. Her light skin was, more often than not, easy to burn if she wasn't careful.
"I am a Celestial Dragon." The words came out simply and clear. But she was worried.
He hadn't answered her back before, but he still smelled like their kind. So despite how she should ignore him, the scent was still comforting. Because it was the vaguest of reminders that she wasn't alone. That she wasn't the only one. And within itself, that relaxed her. She smiled at the thought of the comb in her hand while it's mate resided in her hair, "Thank you very much for these, Vincent. I will treasure them."

"I had hoped you would like the combs. Do you feed upon ethers and exterior energies. I have not seen you eat since I've been in your company."
Vincent had stopped walking to speak. He looked upon Zhu with concerned eyes. What did she go through if she is powerful yet hiding? Whom was she hiding from?
"Zhu, if I may inquire. Who are you running or hiding from?".

She stopped walking forward completely, standing in the shade of one of the many trees that lined the path back up to the cave where she dwelt. And she thought about how to answer him, before turning to him slightly,
"I am running and hiding from many things, as everyone else. But I suppose what I am hiding from most are the judgemental minds of Humans; they have brought me enough pain already." She looked around the woods a moment and gestured to them vaguely as she added on, "Sometimes, Vincent, Humans project their own monstrous qualities onto the less fortunate to hold their language."
Once more, she started walking again but this time she walked back toward Vincent and stopped in front of him, "I do eat what the villagers usually give me, however, I'm often distracted by returning the children and the other wildlife get to the food I leave behind to do so." She tilted her head to the side slightly, "Have I answered your questions?" The question was simple and blunt, but curiosity danced in her lilac eyes as she looked into his own crimson eyes, "Perhaps, if you still decide to stick around, I could tell you more."

Vincent's countenance remained calm per usual but excitement danced behind the far-seeing rubies. Then he frowned.
"No wonder your constantly sleeping. You probably haven't eaten for a great while. Here is what I shall do. You go rest and I will bring the food. This way you have no worries of woodland animals eating your meals. I will also check on the children."
Vincent sighed thoughtfully.
"What we need is a home. How I go from wondering about to domesticated is beyond me but, I assure you unless you plan on living as a primative. Then that should be a thought. I can handle the details."
Vincent smiled...again. Looking at Zhu he wondered briefly on Lucrecia. Then resigned he and Lucrecia to a tainted tragic love.
"As you can hear. I do plan on sticking around. Now. Will that be one cow or two"
Vincent asked playfully.

She smiled at his thoughtfulness as he made a plan before her and even offered to get her food- and do something much more important. Check on the children they had left at the village. It was extremely considerate of him and she nodded along, listening and agreeing; and then he mentioned something unusual.
'We need a home.'
Never before had she really had a 'home' aside from the cave, she didn't even know where to begin. But as long as Vincent was willing to help, she was willing to try. She supposed she would be what Humans referred to as a 'Housewife'- a domesticated human female that took care of domestic things. However, though she knew the term she knew not what 'domesticated things' were. She laughed a bit at Vincent's unusual playfulness and his smile,
"Two, please. I will return and wait." She voiced and turned from him, covering her face to hide heated and rosy pink cheeks as she continued on and tried to think of what type of place would be suitable. For the two of them.
It would be her second time, sharing a home with a male, but she didn't mind; He seemed tranquil enough but still she had her reservations. She returned to the cave and returned to the secluded area where her own 'sleeping chambers' were and stared at the lush bed made of her shed fur. Gently, she touched the pile of packed furs, clean of the debris her coat naturally shied away from. They were fluffy and cool to the touch, but she continued to check for their durability and comfort-
Perhaps, she could collect some empty sheets from the villagers and vacant pillow cases and stuff them with her shed fur? It was useless to her, but it was probably soft enough for a human like Vincent to sleep on. It would be a good and alternative 'feather down comforter' with 'feather down pillows'.
She smiled and laid down on her bed, snuggling up in it as she let out a struggled sigh. Too long had she been without energy and nutrition; it was almost impossible to keep a female human's form, even for her. Now that she was alone, she gave away to the much more manageable male form that she rarely used; the village children knew her to be female in both natural and human form, and were much more comforted by her feminine temperance and manners. But she had to take this form as she pulled the beige fur around her and slowly fell asleep. The only notable differences between both genders, was that her hair was shorter in this form and she was not as athletically built as someone who exercised and honed their muscles with abandon.
